Fife Creek Hike
On Saturday, June 27th, David Johnson, Allison and I hiked Fife Creek in an attempt to make it downstream to the confluence with Deep Creek, a major tributary of North Creek (the Zion Narrows). We started at approximately 10:30 AM at an elevation of 7928 ft and hiked for 4 hrs and 50 min. The total distance traveled was 4 miles round trip, much of that was following an abandoned road and bushwacking. The highlight for me was seeing Big Springs where most of the water for Fife Creek emerges. This was approximately .75 miles into the hike and was a good place to fish - catching several nice rainbows.
